Lori McDonough
Worship Leader
Lori has been on staff leading church worship music since 2006, at various times leading the adult choir, bell choir, contemporary praise bands, community ecumenical choirs, and is always open to whatever crazy opportunities come her way next! In addition to her full-time teaching career, she has always found a place for music and worship in her life, first volunteering with the Cincinnati Boychoir when her sons were singing in the choir, and then serving as secretary on the Boychoir Board of Trustees. She has enjoyed singing with community choirs Cincinnati Northwestern Chorale and Harrison VOCE, and has loved participating in Collegium Cincinnati's Summer Sing and directing and playing music for high school musicals at several Cincinnati-area schools. After a rewarding career as a middle school language arts and math teacher, she retired and has been able to focus even more of her time and energy on church work, as well as volunteering with several faith-based organizations.
Lori loves all styles and genres of music, especially Christian music. She plays the piano, flute, and sings, and most especially enjoys collaborating with others to create meaningful worship experiences for all. She has also enjoyed many years of planning and directing Camp IMPACT, a Christian summer camp for middle schoolers, as well as having taken high school and college-aged students on about 10 mission trips. Her wonderful playwright husband, children, and grandchildren round out her days and fill her life with joy, along with her church family.
