- Now Jacob has to deal with Esau

- What is Jesus meaning here with the sword? I thought of the message of Bonhoeffer in Life Together - When Christ calls a person he bids them come and die. Is Jesus truly the center for us?
- Notice that these are teachings to his disciples, not the "general public"
- John - I so appreciate the fact that he's honest with Jesus about wondering whether Jesus is really "the one". If John can wrestle with faith, so can we
Psalm 13 and Proverbs 3:16-18
- Psalm 13 - Fitting that #13 is a lament. But still ends with an affirmation of trust
- Proverbs 3:16-18 - Ah the benefits of wisdom
