10/2 Goode Thoughts
Welcome to October at ResoundingJoy Church! We had a wonderful first Ministry Night last night as around 30 people gathered to begin the work of forming our ministry teams and continue the joy of getting to know one another as our new community of faith! There's more about that night in the next issue of ReSounds which will be out next week. In the meantime, this coming Sunday is World Communion Sunday and I have a favor to ask...

Our World Communion Sunday gift to Pillar of Truth
Bread is a constant just about wherever you go in the world. It may be made of different ingredients - wheat, rice, etc - but bread is a staple food all over. This Sunday, as a gift to our friends at Pillar of Truth Church (the Ethiopian congregation that meets in the Fellowship Hall each Sunday), could you bring a loaf of bread to share with them?
The idea behind this is that World Communion Sunday is a sharing of the bread and the cup at the table and remembering what unites us across borders, languages, skin tones, genders, economics, status, etc. It is a reminder of what we share because we are all a part of the one Body of Christ.
So, here's the only "caveat" I would ask. Please don't just get sliced sandwich bread but instead either a nice loaf you buy at the store or a homemade loaf of bread. We'll collect all these in the Narthex as we come into worship and then we will deliver them to Pillar of Truth after our service is completed.
Thank you for helping bless our Ethiopian sisters and brothers!

Questions about Giving
Over the last few weeks, I have fielded several questions about giving and stewardship so I wanted to try to respond to those here in case they are questions you might be asking as well.
Should I continue my giving as I was doing at GH, PRP, NW?
Yes please! Our preliminary budget is based on the continuing giving from people to RJC as they were at the previous congregations. We will be having a Stewardship commitment time later in the fall but for now please continue your giving to RJC.
What about giving statements?
Each congregation (NW, PRP, GH) will be providing (or has already provided) giving statements from January through August of the year. Please hold onto these for your records. ResoundingJoy will be providing statements of giving from September 1 through December 31 at the end of 2025.
What are the ways I can give?
You can give in a variety of ways.
You can give in worship by putting your offering in the plate using the envelopes provided in the pews or envelopes you have with you. If you are giving in cash, please be sure you put your name on the envelope.
You can mail your offerings into the church (8735 Cheviot Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45251) or you can set up an automatic payment from your bank to be mailed to the same address
You can give online at any time through the RJC app or the giving page on our website. Through the online portal you can give a one time gift (with credit card) or you can set up a recurring gift (credit card or bank account). If you want to do a recurring gift, you will need to sign up for an account. The system will walk you through that but let me or Ryan Hamilton know if you run into any issues.
