Exodus 13:17-15:18

Pillars - the ongoing presence of God with the people
Hardening Pharaoh's heart - again, is this for sure God spoke this or a later interpretation of why Pharaoh keeps doing what he does
Israelites' reaction to the Egyptians returning? Fear. They have been conditioned to this - they haven't seen the full power and ongoing presence of God. Understandable that they would react this way
Love this line - "The Lord will fight for you. You have only to keep still." But can be used as a sense of saying that we don't have agency or actions we need to take
The Israelites feared the Lord - awe, respect, whoa type of fear
Moses' song - likely this is a later addition - a song that was written later to remember this event and then added into the text

Matthew 21:23-46

These are rough parables and hard to interpret. But the crux of them is that they are more directed at the religious leaders that Jesus sees as being deeply hypocritical

Psalm 26 and Proverbs 6:16-19

Psalm 26 - How do you feel about this self-justifying Psalm? Ok to do it? Arrogant? Realistic?

Proverbs 6:16-19 - Again, pretty self-explanatory. Many of the Proverbs are. :-)
