Exodus 10:1-12:13

The beginnings of the Passover. It is hard to take this story because it is the innocents who are being punished for the Pharaoh's stubbornness. But unfortunately isn't that how life always is? The powerful don't face the same sufferings...

Matthew 20:1-28

Parable now to illustrate what Jesus just said in the previous verse. Last first, first last.
The story now begins to shift towards Jerusalem - on the way... Road conversations. A friend likes to call these conversations "windshield conversations" because both people are looking at the windshield sometimes allows conversations to flow more easily
First two "road conversations" - What is about to happen and then who the followers of Jesus are to be.
Last first, first last again

Psalm 25:1-15 and Proverbs 6:6-11

Psalm 25:1-15 - Again, try to read the whole of this Psalm and not just a part. But this is a song of humility and commitment but notice that the lament comes last here

Proverbs 6:6-11 - The value of hard work
