7/17. Goode Thoughts - We're rolling
I am excited about my first of the combined services with all three congregations - this Sunday at 10:00am at Northwest! Before we get into updates of what's been happening this week...first some beauty of the world. Two images from different parts of Winton Woods.
The first was oen of those "it just happened that way" types of moments. I was photographing the sunrise at the WW campground and as I was bringing the camera up, this heron just flew right across...
The first was oen of those "it just happened that way" types of moments. I was photographing the sunrise at the WW campground and as I was bringing the camera up, this heron just flew right across...

The second was from near the main area of Winton Woods and this photo brought together four of my favorite things - Scout, a sunrise, this bench, and one of the many herons. Again, another of those "just happened that way" moments.

Ok - onto what's been happening this week!
RJC Session - The RJC initial Session had its first meeting on Monday night with a LOT on our plate. We are working on a draft budget for RJC once we are all together, talked through updates about the finance and treasurer meetings, spent time with mission and vision and looking at logo possibilities, talked through worship on July 20th, looked ahead to the first Sundays in September for "launch" and also started work on reviewing our covenant that the Session will have together for how we are a team together. Suffice to say, we had a lot to cover and what I listed isn't even all of it!
Membership Form - Thank you to everyone who has already filled out the online membership form. If you need the link again, here it is
7/20 Unified Service - I don't know howmany of you will see this before Sunday but it is going to be a wonderful service. In the two unified services we have in July and August, we are going to be digging deep into our name. What does ResoundingJoy mean from a Scriptural perspective. But we're going to do it in reverse - JOY this week and Resounding in August. I also want to encourage you to invite someone new to you to go to lunch after!
7/23 Wednesday with Ed - We had a great group of folks who came out to Just Love Coffee Cafe for our first Wednesdays with Ed. I'm going to be doing the same this week at the same place (9894 Colerain Ave). Show up for the whole time or just a few minutes!
7/24 Treasurers Meeting - The evening of the 24th, the treasurers will be meeting with a representative of the Presbyterian Foundation to start looking at our options for investments of our shared funds - both in brokerage and in endowment accounts. As decisions are made, we will be getting more information out to everyone!
7/27 Worship - I'll be leading worship that morning at Pleasant Run!
Moving Moving Moving - The process is started and ongoing. Pianos are starting to be moved over, including a grand piano from Greenhills that will be part of our worship on Sunday! I also wandered through Pleasant Run with Barb F to look at what would be good to bring over from there into the merge after having done the same at Greenhills the previous week. The process is ongoing!
Random Note - If you are a movie fan and a superhero fan, the new Superman movie is really good. Really connected me back to the original Christopher Reeve one in tone and spirit. Really good.
See you Sunday!
Grace, Peace, Love, Hope, and Joy,
Pastor Ed
