7:29 - You must bring your offering from your sacrifice of well-being
Ordination - yikes. I much prefer how we do it

Mark 3:31-4:25

31-35 - Jesus choosing new family. Found vs chosen family
Parable of the sower - Here and in Matthew. Reads almost exactly the same
3:21-25 - A bit of the sermon on the mount here. Was the Sermon on the Mount truly one teaching in Matthew or a stitching together of many different teachings? Open question

Psalm 37:12-29 and Proverbs 10:5

Psalm 37:12-29 - Shifts to a description largely of "the bad" (see yesterday's post). FNV uses "heedless" instead of wicked or evil. How do you feel about that different translation?Also notice the message about generosity in aging in vv 25-28

Proverbs 10:5 - Children start good habits young
